We Are
Dance Dads
The gear. The sacrifice. The pride. This is our story.
Three Hours. Cold Car Park. No Coffee.
That’s how Dance Dads started — same way half the dance dads in the country start their week. Sitting in the car outside rehearsal, scrolling a chat I’m not allowed to post in, googling words like “fouetté” so I can fake it at the kitchen table.
Then we figured: there’s enough of us out there. Might as well make a brand for it.
Dance Dads is for the blokes who’ve learned that “five minutes” means forty-five, that a bun has structural engineering, and that you always bring the spare tights. We show up. Wear it loud.
"We drive. We wait. We clap louder than anyone else in the room. We are Dance Dads. And we wouldn't have it any other way."
The Dad Life
We Show Up
6am Saturday? We're there. Tuesday night after work? Present. Dance dads don't just drop off — we stay, we watch, we cheer. Every single time.
We're Proud Of It
No embarrassed hiding. No pretending we'd rather be at the footy. Our daughters are out there giving everything — wearing that is the least we can do.
We're A Tribe
From Auckland to Invercargill, there's a bloke in a folding chair right now doing exactly what you're doing. You're not alone out here, mate.
Dads Behind The Brand
Father of three daughters who between them cover every corner of the dance world — Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, and Tap. His weekends are a blur of hairspray, costume changes, and performances he’s pretty sure he was late to at least one of. Somehow knows the difference between a plié and a piroue… actually, no he doesn’t. But he shows up every single time, and that’s the whole point.
Father of one ridiculously talented daughter who doesn’t just do one style — she does them all. Every. Single. One. She’s got more sass than a Saturday night and more talent in her little finger than Dave has in his entire body (his words). Spends most competitions trying to look calm while internally losing it with pride.
Gear Worthy Of
Every Hour
You've Put In
Every piece we make is designed to last as long as your daughter's dance career. Quality prints, comfortable fits, and a message that tells the world exactly who you are — a Dance Dad, and damn proud of it.
